It was eight o'clock,
One of those magical evenings,
Where the sun's eyes were still open
Long into the night.

His constant attempts of understanding
Why ferris wheels went so quickly
From top to bottom
On that single evening.

Why smiles were appreciated
At twilight
But tears felt so complete
At the fall of night.

And so he says goodbye
To memories illuminated,
Pixelated friendships
And laughter that made his heart sing

And a girl he can never forget
But he has to try
All the same.
